Duatic
Unlocking Robots True Potential
Our mission is to unlock the full potential of robots by developing both the hardware (the robot's body) and the software (the robot's brain).
Duatic is an innovative start-up founded in 2024 in Zurich, building human-scale robots aiming at relieving industries from labor shortages. The heart of our innovation lies in a novel type of actuator architecture and the lightweight yet powerful robotic arm. These actuators (the rotary muscles that move the robotic limbs) offer a superior combination of power, size, and robust sensing capabilities outperforming existing solutions in the market.
DynaDrives
Quasi-direct, water-resistant, actively-cooled drive modules with integrated electronics. Perfect for robust robotics, simplifying integration, saving development time, and ensuring reliability in harsh conditions. A top choice for developers prioritizing robot functionality over joint maintenance.

Our actuator technology and robotic arm have significantly contributed to the scientific community since their initial development. The actuator has played a vital role in numerous new robots, including the DynaArm, while this arm has been successfully integrated into the ANYmal robot, pushing the boundaries of dynamic mobile manipulation. Below are shown some of those robots.
Used in
Robotic Wheels
DynaDrive Coyote has been used to build the controllable wheels shown in this video. The precision control that is enabled by these actuators enable the robot ANymal to drive on different outdoor environment and stand on two legs.
Used in
ANYexo V2 Wrist
ANYexo is very transparent and powerfull exosceleton designed for rehabilitation. Due to its high transparency and accurate torque control, DynaDrive Armadillo is used as wrist actuation.
Used as
Master and Slave
The robotic arm DynaArm serves as a master device for remotely controlling another DynaArm. The torque sensitivity of each joint in the arm enables precise and versatile motion control. This makes it a versatile and valuable tool for a variety of applications.
Used in
Robot leg
DynaDrive Baboon is used as an ANYdrive replacement of the Hip and Knee joint on ANYmal at RSL ETH Zurich. The gait shown has not been tuned for our robotic joint, demonstrating ease of installation and operation.
Used in
Festo Bionic Assistant
DynaDrives have been used for building the wheels of the Ballbot robot and the robotic arm of the BionicMobileAssistant demonstrated by Festo.
Used in
DynaArm
DynaArm is a powerful yet lightweight robotic arm developed and optimized for legged robots that operate outdoors. All six joints are built using DynaDrives, providing all the necessary torque and speed needed for such an application.
